It’s wrestling fans’ favourite time of the year! WrestleMania 34.
We are just a few days away from the showcase of the immortals, and to that we say: 
Hatch wresting diehards Kamilia Hanna, from Sydney, and Jesse Robertson, from Melbourne, have battled it out with each other to determine their joint favourites for the announced matchups at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
WWE Championship Match – AJ Styles (c) v Shinsuke Nakamura
After winning a 30-man Royal Rumble, Nakamura had a choice of an opponent and he picked SmackDown’s champion AJ Styles. These two have had a rivalry outside WWE with both being major stars in Japan’s major wrestling company, New Japan Pro Wrestling.
They will be rekindling their fiery feud which will highlight Nakamura’s smashmouth offense and AJ’s phenomenal aerial manoeuvres.
This is a “smark” (internet fan) dream match and is one of the most hyped-up matches coming into Wrestlemania.

Ronda Rousey & Kurt Angle v Stephanie McMahon & Triple H
Former UFC Bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will have her first match this Monday and she couldn’t have asked for a better tag team partner that Olympic gold medalist and four-time WWE champion Kurt Angle.
The pair will be going up against former WWE Champion Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon.
The history between Rousey, McMahon and H goes back to WrestleMania 31 where the three had an intense confrontation ending with Rousey standing tall over the couple.
This match has been heavily publicised because of the star power Rousey brings, so it wouldn’t be surprising if the two Olympians get the win over the villainous duo.

WWE Universal Championship – Brock Lesnar (c) v Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns has been one of WWE’s best since the mid-2010s, having various five-star matchups and has emerged as one of WWE’s top talents in the modern era.
If this match is last at Mania, it will mark Reigns’ fourth consecutive main event, including retiring the legendary Undertaker at last year’s show.
Current Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is no stranger to success having ruled the WWE for an entire year after defeating Goldberg for the title at last year’s Mania in Orlando.
Two years after these two main-evented at Wrestlemania 31 they will clash again and a decisive winner will be determined.

Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon v Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn
After the dramatic firing of Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn on the March 21 episode of SmackDown Live, the pair will be fighting for a chance to get back into the WWE by going up against Bryan, who is SmackDown general manager, and Shane McMahon, SmackDown commissioner.
This will be the first Mania back for Bryan after he was forced to retire due to head injuries two years ago, but he was recently cleared by doctors for in-ring competition.
Zayn and Owens will be fighting for their careers and will use every dirty trick in the book to stay with the WWE. The tension between Bryan and McMahon has been brewing for a while and could explode on Monday, setting up a storyline between the two.

SmackDown Woman’s Championship – Charlotte Flair (c) v Asuka
After winning the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble match RAW superstar Asuka won the right to challenge the champion of her choosing and she picked the “Queen” of WWE, Charlotte Flair. This is the only inter-promotional matchup on the card with the two women battling it out for the right to be champion.
This is arguably Flair’s biggest challenge as she is going up against a challenger who hasn’t lost a match in over two years. Asuka is currently holding the longest undefeated streak, outrunning WWE and WCW legend Goldberg’s winning streak, and will be doing everything in her power to keep her streak safe.
It will be a great technical showcase, with Flair being one of the best athletes on the roster, going up against Asuka, who is well known for her hard-hitting style and intimidating persona.

Vacant Cruiserweight Championship – Mustafa Ali v Cedric Alexander
Since WWE released its highly controversial previous champion Enzo Amore, the cruiserweight-exclusive 205 Live has undergone a radical transformation.
From bringing in its first-ever general manager in Drake Maverick to plucking Australia’s own Buddy Murphy from obscurity in the tournament to determine a new champion, more eyes have been exposed to the two greatest athletes under 205lb (93kg), plucky underdog Mustafa Ali and versatile veteran Cedric Alexander.
A match with the potential to steal the show with its high-flying spectacle that should see Ali have his moment in the sun.

Raw Woman’s Championship – Alexa Bliss (c) v Nia Jax
With Asuka jumping ship to fight for the SmackDown Championship there was a void left open for the RAW women’s title. Alexa Bliss has beat some of the best women on the RAW roster and she will face a big challenge going up against the 204lb (92.5) powerhouse Nia Jax. The pair has been close for a while but after footage leaked of Bliss commenting about Jax’s weight and insecurities, Jax exploded, unleashing her anger on Bliss and her accomplice, Mickie James.
Although it would be nice to see Jax – who is the cousin of Dwane “The Rock” Johnson – win her first WWE championship, it will be difficult to outsmart the “Goddess” of WWE, Alexa Bliss.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship – The Usos (champions) v The New Day v The Bludgeon Brothers
It was noted in the build-up to this match that The Usos, who joined WWE in mid-2010, has never appeared on the WrestleMania main card. Neither have Luke Harper and Erick Rowan as a team, recently reforming as the devastating Bludgeon Brothers.
The time was right for both duos, as the Usos came off a rivalry that left fans on the edge of their seats against the fun-loving, pancake-pouring trio, The New Day.
The rivalry was set to be renewed at last month’s Fastlae pay-per-view before Harper and Rowan decimated both teams during their title match.
The 600lb (272kg) Bludgeon Brothers should throw both sets of opponents around with ease but ultimately Jimmy and Jey Uso should make the most of their first opportunity on the grandest stage, eight years in the making.

Intercontinental Championship – The Miz (c) v Seth Rollins vs Finn Bálor
The Intercontinental Championship (IC) is one of the most prestigious titles in the WWE. With a history that spans over 30 years, there is no better place to showcase it than at WrestleMania, with three of the top wrestlers in the world fighting for it.
The Miz – an eight-time IC champion – will be looking to bring the title back home to his wife and newborn daughter but he will have to go through Bálor and Rollins who are looking to prove they belong at the top.

Raw Tag Team Championship – The Bar (c) v Braun Strowman and TBA
A tag team battle royal was held on RAW to determine which team would earn the right to challenge the champions at Mania.
However the 203cm, 375lb (170kg) “Monster Among Men” entered the match solo and won the opportunity to face Cesaro and Sheamus, on the condition he can find someone to fight alongside. He’s made quick work of both Europeans in singles competition but despite repeated requests, has refused to reveal his chosen ally.
Hatch predicts: Braun Strowman and his mystery partner
United States Championship – Randy Orton (c) v Bobby Roode v Rusev v Jinder Mahal
After capturing the US title from the “Glorious” Bobby Roode at Fastlane, veteran Orton cemented his legacy as a Grand Slam champion, winning every championship in the WWE.
The popular Rusev strolled his way into the spectacle by surprising the champion on SmackDown, while former World Champion Mahal overcame Roode to enter the title picture.
The fans’ opinion is split over the preferred champion after this four-way battle but we feel that Monday, April 9 should be celebrated the correct way: on Rusev Day!

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
A match dedicated to the late “Eighth Wonder of the World”, the stakes have increased in 2018’s annual edition with The Revival promising to become the first tag team ever to split the trophy between them.
Friendships are at stake as multiple former winners, including 2016 holder Baron Corbin, seek to be the first to earn the honour twice.
Unfortunately for them, it looks like the Battle Royal will be serenaded with the “woken” brilliance of Matt Hardy.

WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal
Superstars from RAW, SmackDown and NXT will compete in this event. Entrants thus far include Sasha Banks, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Naomi, Natalya, and the Riott Squad.
These women will be fighting to put their names in the history books as the first women to win the WrestleMania Battle Royal.
